Voting is the cornerstone of our Democracy.
If you haven’t already voted early in this year’s Town Meeting election, time is running out to do so. In light of shortages of mail carriers throughout Vermont, it is probably too late for you to request a ballot be sent to you or to mail in a ballot that you may already have.
Nevertheless, you can still vote early by going to the City Clerk’s Office during special open hours on Saturday March 4 (10 AM-2 PM) and regular City Hall open hours (8:30 AM-4:30 PM) today (3/2), tomorrow (3/3) and Monday 3/6.
At the City Clerk’s Office, you can:
drop off a ballot you’ve already filled out
OR obtain a ballot and fill it out there
OR take a ballot home with you to fill out and drop off later
And, of course, you can also vote on Town Meeting Day (Tuesday March 7) at the City Clerk’s Office, which will be open for this purpose 7AM-7 PM.
Candidate Information
If you haven’t already voted, there’s still time for you to learn more about the candidates by reading articles and/or watching video recordings, many of which are linked to below.
NOTE: Zack Hughes is running as a write-in City Council candidate for District 3, so is not listed on the ballot. Anyone wishing to vote for him must write in his name on the ballot. (See link to The Bridge article about Zack Hughes’ candidacy, below.)

PLEASE VOTE!
Show our elected and appointed officials that the vast majority of residents do care enough about the current and future state of our City to vote on issues that impact us all and to elect those who we think will provide the needed leadership to address these issues effectively and equitably.
